About beton.org
The German Federal Associations of Cement, Ready-mix Concrete, and Precast Concrete Element Industries have placed their marketing activities onto a common foundation. In the course of refocusing and bundling their communication activities, a common web portal has been launched which provides information on building with concrete: www.beton.org.
In the "Wissen" area, comprehensive information on concrete technology and civil engineering techniques can be found, ranging from exposed concrete to high-performance concrete and white tank. However, all information is available in German only.
In the "Inspiration" area, interested parties will find information on concrete in architecture and as a material used in design from the kitchen worktop made of concrete to designer items and radiators.
In addition to an extensive Service area offering an event calendar, press area, top news, and downloads on using concrete for construction purposes, the Ansprechpartner (Contacts) area provides links to institutions, companies, and associations of the industry.
Among others, the following project and partner related pages are part of the beton.org concrete portal:
(on-line bookstore providing publications by the cement and concrete industries) - www.beton.org/objekte
(Database containing more than 400 buildings made of concrete) - www.betonkanu-regatta.de
(website on the German concrete canoe race) - www.architekturpreis-beton.de
(website on the Architekturpreis Beton (German Concrete Architecture Award))
